Stefano Mauri is a professional soccer player from Italy. He was born on January 8, 1980 in Monza, Italy. Currently he is a retainer of the Lazio club and plays in the wing position. In addition he also included players in the Italian national team squad.

Lazio did not renew Mauri’s contract

Lazio made sure not to renew their captain’s contract last season, Stefano Mauri. The 35-year-old has recently made a parting statement on his personal Facebook account.

Mauri has spent 10 years of his football career with Biancocelesti. Mauri digaet Lazio from Udinese in the 2005/2006 season at a price of 3.5 million euros.

“In my heart, I have always been, I and I have always been the captain for my beloved Lazio,” said Mauri.

In this parting sentence Mauri indicated that he would return to Lazio in the future. Therefore, Mauri was reluctant to use the word goodbye, but used the word until he met again.

“Lazio will always stay in my heart, I will never stop being one of you. This is ‘see you again’, not ‘goodbye’. With respect, faith and pride, your captain, Stefano Mauri,” he continued.

“Forza Lazio, always!” concluded the captain.

Goodbye captain !!, see you again.
